Dr. Douglas Zormelo

BIOGRAPHY

Douglas Zormelo is the Managing Director and Chairman of Zormelo and Associates. He is an experienced management and development expert who has worked in both the private and public sector and also in academia. He worked with PWC, EY, and KPMG before setting up Zormelo & Associates. Dr. Zormelo was Project Coordinator of the ECOWAS Trade Negotiations Capacity Building Project based in Abuja for several years before returning to Ghana in 2011.

Dr. Zormelo has also taught at the London School of Economics, the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy, University of Ghana and was a Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of International Affairs of the University of Denver, Colorado. He was also a Research Associate at the Overseas Development Institute, London and a Consultant at CTA Trade and Export Consultants in Reading, England.

He has consulted widely with various international organizations including the United Nations, the World Bank, South African Development Community and the Economic Community of West African States.

Douglas holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and is a Montague Burton Scholar.
He is currently the Chairman of Upstream Petroleum Service Providers Association of Ghana (UPSPAG), a trade association for the service providers in the oil & gas industry of Ghana.
