Akintunde Adelana

Mr. Adelana Akintunde is Management Graduate of the University of Benin and a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, CIPS, UK. He is a highly skilled and versatile professional with over 27 years’ experience in supply chain management and 24 years in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Before joining the Board in 2011, he worked for over two decades in Shell Nigeria and was involved in the design and implementation of business solutions, logistics and procurement, tender management, cost savings initiatives among others.

At the Board, Mr. Adelana has been responsible for leading the very important Monitoring and Evaluation mandate of the Board. He has been credited with the new tempo and strategies the Board now adopts in ensuring that every project is monitored effectively from conceptualization to close out, making sure that all operators, multinationals and local service companies comply with the objectives and provisions of the NOGICD Act (2010) in their operations.
He is married with children.
